The world's largest floating solar farms

An Indonesian island across the Singapore Strait from Singapore will become home to the world's largest floating solar farm and energy storage system built by Singapore's Sunseap. 2.2 gigawatts of peak power will be produced by the floating farm. It will be built near 4,000 acres (1,600 hectares) in the Duriangkang Reservoir on the southern end of Batam Island. Approximately 4,000 megawatts per hour will be stored in the energy storage facility. The Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority, Badan Pengusahaan Batam, and Sunseap signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday for the floating solar farm. A bank loan and Sunseap capital will finance this process.
