Growing Old while traveling in our RV presents a number of different challenges and we just faced a new one. I don't remember any of it but listen to Pearl tell the story.

Bob, have your vitamin D checked on your next blood test. Passing out is a symptom of low vitamin D, and men over 60 very often have low vitamin D. My brother passed out from low vitamin D at 69 yrs old. It took the doctors a month to figure out the cause. Although this is a common problem, vitamin D testing is rarely done with annual physicals. It's overlooked, often. Oh, I happen to meet Pearl today in TT, walking the dog. I recognized her when she looked at our Honda CRV as we passed by.

I used to have this happen once every few years or so. I would feel dizzy then pass out. Ended up with a pacemaker for bradycardia. They figured it out by putting in a heart monitor for a little over a year.

Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I was in the house though. I had no clue. Woke up in the hospital but didn’t know where I was. Spent two nights in the hospital. They said the only thing they decided was that I had an infection somewhere . They poured the antibiotics to me. As you know you gotta be tough to get old. I’m 83.

Oh you two. My heart sank when you showed the picture of Bob on the ground. The thought of travel and emergencies happening is definitely frightening. But being prepared helps ❤

Phew...thank God you are ok!!!
My brother who is 72 yrs old had the same thing happened at a Dunkin Donuts lucky there was a medic and police at the same place. Same problem meds being out of balanced. He now where's a Apple watch to help monitor things. Safe travels you two.

Hi Bob and Pearl. I am so sorry too hear that happened. I know that had to be scary? Did all of your short term memory come back? I am so glad you are getting back to normal. I hope you can say the same thing in about 6 months with 4 different bills come in. I myself have been knocked out 3 times and my life (play as a kid and some from racing motocross). A vary scary feeling with lost of time. Also around 2010 passed out from a mixture of alcohol, energy drinks, and viagra. LOL I have never had high blood pressure so far, but I do have had Afib for about 8 months now. I feel very lucky to be able to do this lifestyle alone. It's not luck, it is God. I will be praying for you and Pearl (I do everyday for a couple years now). Safe travels.

Hi Bob & Pearl - we’re glad you are okay. What a sobering experience. Pearl had some good suggestions if you’re ever light headed again. Glad to hear Thousand Trails were able to let you stay an extra week.

Loved your video. Glad you are okay...Keep an eye on the BP and wish you the very best! No pushing through those lightheaded spells anymore!! I am 54 with a 65 yr old with multiple med issues who is retiring in a few months. We have tried to do our homework, but it is a change and I worry about the future.
