Can’t be understated what he’s done for the team this year, Stutzle Pinto Grieg are just three of our young players he’s had a massive impact on. without G money this team isn’t half as close as they are now. Most underrated FA signing this year hands down

As a flyers fan, it hurt so so bad to see him go, but I haven't been at all surprised with how he's been lighting up for the sens this year. I'll miss our captain forever, but man ottawa is looking crazy good and have an underrated stacked team. G seems to fly under so many people's radar but he'll always remain one of my favorite nhl players of all time.

It was a sad day for me when the Flyers got rid of Claude last year. He has been an incredibly steady point producer and a great all around pro over his entire career. I've been looking at box scores the last couple of weeks and he's had some really good games for the Sens. Glad to see he's having success with his new team and I'd love to see him get his name on the Cup before he retires.

Giroux’s been just fantastic for the Sens this year. His mentorship has been amazing on young guys, he’s got himself and coached teammates into really nice faceoff %s, and he’s at a point per game on the season. It feels like every time the Sens really NEED a goal and they get one, it starts or ends with Giroux. Just a perfect signing for this team

As a Sens hater and Leafs fan, I gotta say, this team is looking scary good now. I think they can pull it off and hit that wildcard slot. If they do, it should be interesting.

And he’s probably the best free agent signing in the teams history. He has been massive. Last night he put the team on his back, fired the boys up on the bench and got a huge goal.

It’s still unbelievable but I am more than ok with it.

Giroux is from Hearst, Ontario. He played Junior in The Q across the Ottawa River in Hull, Quebec. 😉

Claude Giroux is probably the most competitive guy in the league that’s why he went to Ottawa. He knew it would be a great challenge but can clearly see the potential.

One of my favourites on the team. As you said - his best asset is his brain (And he can still keep up with the up and coming brats on the team)
If he does start to show his age, I hope the sens can carry him to a cup the way he's carried the team. I have high hopes, but strange things happen

I knew that Giroux was going to finish his career in Ottawa about 6 years ago. One of my buddies did some trim work in his house in Kanata, while it was getting built that long ago. While he was still a Philadelphia Flyer. Which my buddy told me that the Srns were trying to sign him then. But Melynk was the reason why we were hav8ng troubles.
