Standard 9" Foundation: A flat, sturdy surface that fits right into the bed frame.
Foundations are universal flat surfaces for mattresses, taking the place of a boxspring.
PROS:
*Goes well with high headboards and large footboards-Adds height and support
*Aesthetically looks great with larger bed frames...more substantial looking.
CONS:
*Could potentially cover too much of the headboard with lower profiles.
*May be difficult to get in and out of bed for some.

Low Profile Foundations: Thinner base...5"-6"; Lighter, making it easy to move
PROS:
*Lighter
*Easier to move
*Easier to get in and out of bed
*Provides Essential Support without Extra height
CONS:
May be considered too close to the ground dependent on personal preference/bed type

Bunkie Boards: Approx 2"; Primarily used for bunk beds but work well with other mattresses
PROS:
*Work GREAT with memory foam and hybrid mattresses
*Provides a sense of safety
*Works great on Platform Beds
CONS:
*Very low to the ground
*Not aesthetic for some users/bed types

Hello, do we add the box spring or foundation on top of the slats that came with the frame? Or do we just drop it on the floor inside the bed frame? Thank you

Does the mattress thickness and body weight matters? And we have a hard time changing our bedding with a 11/2 box spring?
