Thanks Ellen! Excellent vlog as usual! Thanks for your book recs as always! I have picked up One Dark Window to read later in the month if I get to it, looks like the second one is needed too to read straight after so I'll try to get a copy.
I read the novella for Caraval released in October called Spectacular. Excellent book and recommend and I've just read Once upon a broken heart and now reading The Ballad of Never After. Both are excellent books so far! I remember you recommended those a few months back. Last month I also started the Never After Series by Emily McIntyre. First book was called Hooked. Based loosely on Captain Hook. Highly recommend that one too. Have a great week!

Reading one dark window now and have twisted crowns. You mentioned in a previous vlog one of the books you read was similar to throne of glass. Im curious to know if you'd recommend this, as another bookish vlog i watched, said when the moon hatched is similar to throne of glass as well (i bought when the moon hatched and one dark window from your recommendations 😊). The romance windy city series sound so lovely and truly loving the bookish vlogs. You're so uplifting in your descriptions ❤

When I finished Two twisted crowns I sat in my bed for about half an hour and just cried... I did not expect it would hit me so hard but it did. ❤🖤

Also, if you want a spookie/unsettling book to grip you instantly, pick If we were villains up! I started it this evening and only put it down now to write this comment. 😅I think you would love it - it's intriguing and character-focused from the very beginning. I'm only about 60 pages in but I just don't want to put it down, I keep turning the pages and don't even realize. The writing is very good and it's really easy to imagine what's happening. It's constantly building tension but instead of making you "uncomfortably uneasy" I just find myself getting more and more "curiously uneasy", if that makes sense. 😍

Thanks for the recommendation for Out on a Limb - it sounds perfect for me, I'll pick it up. I love books where 'nothing happens' - well, not exactly, but I love to read (and write) character-driven books which have a real-life vibe and aren't *too* tropey, though I will happily read me a trope or ten, as well.
