When 11-year-old Finn first suffered symptoms of an incredibly rare blood disorder at the age of four, it forever altered the course of his family's life. His diagnosis showed that a stem cell transplant offered his only chance of survival.
Finn underwent his first transplant when a near-perfect match was discovered in Brazil. However, in 2022, his stem cell levels plummeted dangerously, putting him at risk of a relapse. Fortunately, a 100 per cent compatible match was found for him in Portugal, and in December 2022, he received his second transplant.
