Alton Towers More THRILL Or Family?

Is Alton Towers a family Or Thrill park... Or a bit of both. With constant investment the past few years the question of what is Alton Towers is one I've been thinking of recently. With new flat rides looking to be on the horizon will they be aimed at thrill seekers, or more for a family audience? With a new small scale roller coaster coming to CBeebies land soon, its clear that CBeebies is here to stay for the foreseeable future! Alton Towers opens a new thrill flat ride - Toxicator at the start of this season, replacing both the Blade and Ripsaw. Alton Towers open's mid march until November for 2025.

I feel that they are in the best possible position, with offerings for both. Yeah, you've got Thorpe Park for thrillseekers, and Chessington for families, but Alton Towers is inbetween, which is a great place to be in business wise as you'll get everyone going to your park

It's both, chessington used to be the same until they bought thorpe park and changed the demographics of each park

Cbeebies for the young ones.
Mine train, rapids, galleons, Hex, Curse, Spinball, Rita, Th13teen and Wickerman for families.
Oblivion, Smiler, Galactica, Nemesis and Sub-Terra for thrills.

I think Alton Towers would be a Family & Thrill Ride Theme Park it has to be Both.

It's not too bad but I agree that the park has loads for young children and loads of thrill rides so hopefully we'll see more in the future for the family-thrill demographic.
Personally I think Paultons is one of the best parks in the UK for families, even forgetting Peppa pig world

Although I’m more inclined towards the thrill rides, I’d say the park caters for both sides. There are kids rides, and the fairly tame stuff in Mutiny Bay and Katanga Canyon, which balance out the roster of thrilling coasters. They do need more flat rides though, and whilst Toxicator looks good we’ve lost Blade, Submission and Enterprise in the process.
