Demi Lovato - ' Warrior ' ( live for the first time )

Demi Lovato performs her song "Warrior" live for the first time at Red Light Traffic's Dignity Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, hosted by Don Lemon on October 18, 2013, an event dedicated to raising awareness to fight human trafficking. She told the audience it is the first time she's performed the song live, and that she didn't even rehearse it beforehand.

This was a perfect performance because of all of its emotional imperfections. If you listen to the line, "I've got shame, I've got scars, " Demi didn't sing it. That is probably one of the most bluntly honest lines in the song because she is admitting that yes, I have took a blade to my skin and I have scars to this day because of it. She is a warrior for herself but she also has the strength to be a warrior for me and the rest of her entire fan base. I look at the interview where she says that she will never perform this song live because of its emotion, but then I look at this video and she's on stage singing her heart out. That is true strength and courage.

She didn't want to cry, that's why she didn't say 'I've got shame, I've got scars.' It's the most honest line in the song, and she would've obviously broke down.

At the end of the video, i could not keep my tears anymore. She felt the song in her every cell and made us feel all the emotions inside her. She couldnt even sing some lines, if she sang she would probably cry. Because this song is her whole life. I'm so proud of Demi. This was perfect.

This could be about sexual assault..who knows.. She was asked during her Cosmopolitan interview what this song is about and she said that she has talked a lot about her teenage years but she never talked about what happened when she was younger..she wouldn't answer what the song was actually about. She said the answer is in the lyrics
