VALORANT New Map 'Abyss' | What We Know

VALORANT's new map is officially called Abyss. Based on everything we know so far it seems like it will be an underground map, as it is referred to as both a secret cavern and an elder grotto. The cave itself seems to be part of a group of islands in a colder cliamte, and is an important base for the Scions of Hourglass.

At 4:25 viper says that hourglass sent operatives around the world to find radianite artifacts. Harbor used to work for an organization that found ancient artifacts, and his gauntlet that gives him water powers was a radianite artifact that he was tasked with finding. So maybe REALM (the organization that he worked for) has some connection to hourglass?

I think that the new map will be like nuke in cs where there are multiple vertical levels for different sites. One would be underground and one would be on the top base.

You know, makes total sense that they were the ones to destroy lotus, i just remembered that in the omen vs hourglass cinematic there was a shot of the main guy's room and there was a lotus flower, like the ones in the nexus, but smaller, so we could have discovered that way back lol

what would be cool is if they used the ropes for a way to make the map vertical, like having a site on top, and b site on bottom. however gameplay wise this might suck

I'm convinced that abyss will be separated in like two maps with one underground and one on the surface which would be linked in some way by a tp or smthing like that
