Isn’t it nice to always have something in your pocket that you can pull out at your convenience to win an argument or relieve yourself from responsibility? So beautiful.

I'm part Cherokee my grandfathers 5 th generation grandmother was the chiefs daughter I'm told if I had a tribe or was part of one I would have a birth right to be first or second chief but I'm not sure how it works but I agree with this song I will use one word my ancestors used some pale faces think they own everything when they stole it all away from the native nation I wish I could talk to a chief of a Cherokee tribe to learn everything and to find my place among my people

Some argue that Native American claims to the land are based not only on the fact that they were there before European settlers but also on the fact that they had cultures, societies, and systems of managing these territories, often in balance with nature.

On the other hand, conflicts between tribes show that there wasn’t necessarily an unquestionable right to all the land, as these territories were constantly evolving and contested among the Indigenous groups themselves.

Native Americans who claim that America is their land because they were here before white settlers often omit the fact that they were also fighting over that same land among themselves before the arrival of Europeans. The U.S. Government now owns this land by force, just as some Native American tribes had conquered and possessed it by force in the past.

The same thing happened to my ancestors. Your sentimentality only leads to illusion. See what IS. Fight, win, comply or die. The weak perish. The strong always survive. This is the universe.

We always talk down on bringing up the past mistakes made by other people but when it’s history it’s fine? This literally does nothing for us besides create a bigger divide among this already incredibly diverse country. Yes this land was stolen but the same can be said for several other countries, I’m not saying we should forget about the past or not talk about it, but it shouldn’t be brought up to try and start or end arguments because it does nothing to benefit or fix the current issues our society faces today.

"This land is our land" is already a protest song. Its a critique of private property. In my opinion this cover completely squanders the meaning of the song
