Which SMITE Season Is The True GOAT? - An Analysis!

For example I loved S3 because I started playing back then, and even though I had no idea what I was doing it was still so fun. Also it was peak Joust IMO, still didn't get double frontlines at all. Meta was unbalanced but I didn't feel it much because we almost exclusively played Joust. Still now that I look back recent seasons have been much more balanced and less polarizing. And Season 5-6-8 have probably been the best objectively when looked at new stuff and gods.

Honestly, my favorite era of Smite doesn't quite line up with a particular season (late 2014 to Summer of 2016). My roommates at the time played lots of Smite and we would play a ton of Joust together. Yeah, it got lots of complaints from people we fought who said we should take our premade to ranked (a terrible idea, we often went Ares, Neith, and Kukulkan; which just loses ranked games). It was lots of fun, though. Time passed, and we haven't all queued together since early 2019 (no drama or anything, life just took us to different places). The fun with friends definitely taints my view with the nostalgia factor.

Season 5 was good, but season 8 was fresh and the updates felt the most balanced in my opinion. Broken starters were an issue of course, but they were fun.

I'm surprised by the results, but mostly because it aligns a good bit with my own view. I started in late season 3 and I found that seasons 5 and 6 were my favorites.

I started playing at the tail end of Season 5. I would probably say my personal favorite season was 6 because it released my two top favorite gods in Horus and Jorm. Not really sure what new things were added that years. I do think that year 11 is going to be the worst hands down because Hi-Rez has pretty much stopped all support. I do get that they are moving on but they really need to continue to be 'business as usual' until Smite 2 comes out fully. With nothing new or interesting to keep people playing its probably going to make some people leave. I know I'm considering stopping playing because its becoming stagnate. I'm basically only playing to get stuff for Smite 2 which I probably won't even play. Its a shame because I've been a regular player since I've started. I've only missed a single Battle Pass top reward because my power source for my Xbox died and it took 2 weeks to replace, I was at like level 85 of 90.

I think the seasons being placed in order of scores rather than dates makes it more confusing to watch. Either making it more lisible by having roman numerals maybe, but I'm more fond of having them ordered by year with the score below

We all know this is biased because of nostalgia but i still think nostalgia apart season 5 was really peak smite

I would honestly say season 4 and 9 were the worst and it isnt even close. 4 was abyssmal and 9 nearly killed the game
