BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN AFRICANS AND AFRICAN AMERICANS

In this video, I have a very interesting conversation with my friend Keke about the misconceptions Africans and African Americans have had about each other. We are bridging the gap and unlearning to relearn the TRUTH about ourselves.

Africa’s future is an exciting one and it depends on young Africans on the continent and around the world.

Interesting conversation. I hope your friend overcomes her fear and visit Africa some day. Maame, please consider taking her with you during a visit to Ghana. It's sad how years of misinformation has formed such concrete fears and stereotypes in the minds of so many about the motherland. Love you both; many thanks.

the ghanian perspective on homosexuality was so refreshing to me. i've lived in the states my whole life and hearing homosexuality related to propaganda for a political topic made a lot of sense to me! not to say keke's view on it was wrong, but it was different than yours and i'm a lot more familiar with that rhetoric. i really enjoyed this video ❤️❤️ love y'all!

Hi Maama. This was a lovely video post. 2 gorgeous 😍 young ladies talking about differences between being brought up as African and African American in there country of origin. I am 60 years old i didn't start hearing about this beef 15 years ago. I knew something was going on when 🤔 I was younger 7 or 10 would talk about Africa 🌍 🤔 but would just get okay. The term African booty scratcher comes from whites that is the origin. I only start to hear this term when I started to go to white schools. I heard it from them and the Black kid started to pick up that term. That was in 1966. Love 💘. Is what going to change this problem
You 2 love each other and it shows. The greatest commandment of all. Racism is a cancer of the heart ❤ 💔 it kills everything and everyone it touches. You cannot believe in love and be a racist. Peace and one 💘 this is a very sweet video with extra sugar ❤ on top. Love your home 🏡 work. We African Americans love you for it. That you understand that we do have a culture and been fighting to be African for over 400 years. Also there are 3 Americas. No one different in which on as a African you where born in. We all African. One love to JJC and his crew. We love queen keep doing what you are doing. I am going to tell my friends 🙂 who are personal friends of your primminster Nana Akoff Addo. To make you official Ambassador of Kasoa and Ghana 🇬🇭. We love you peace and one 💘 💘 love.

This was very good. We need more dialog between our diaspora. Africa is our future! I am coming there to start a business and do things that can help the economy there.

I enjoyed the dialog. It's true, the lies we were told of Africa and its starving kids etc. They don't want us connecting to Africa. We are a trillion dollar industry in America and to spend that cash in Africa will build their economy. I no longer hold the stereotypes of Africa and plan to visit ghana, summer 2021.

We need more of this form of dialogue amongst ourselves. This is the only way we will be aware of the misconceptions and lies then let them go and as you said “unlearn and relearn”. I have subscribed to your channel.

Scripture says through the mouth of babes will I speak to my people. This is very moving. If you want to know the truth ask a child. Respectfully these are young adults...

I love this conversation positive vibes and I’m glad to see that the pan Africanism ethics is growing among our younger generations .. thanks to kiki and big shout out to maasika

When I'm looking at the two, I see one looking like Nzinga and another looking like Kimpa, both African queens, who teached the enemy what resistance means! More of this kind of conversations are desirable in this community

Ghanaians are more loving, accepting. And respectful of others. We don't intrude into people's personal lives. And this is what makes us unique as a country. U can feel that sense of freedom I mean all the positive in air once U land on our soil
