Rowling did a good job writing these plot twists. There are enough clues that it becomes obvious on your second read-through, but not so many clues that you can figure it out on your first time. Sirius Black's innocence, Barty Crouch Jr.'s disguise, and Snape's true allegiance were all a thoroughly surprising.

Scavers was Wormtail, Dumbledore had the Elder wand, Harry's Cloak was one of the Deathly Hallows, the Elder wands true master was Draco, not Voldemort, then Harry, Snape was the Half-Blood Prince, Harry was Horcrux, Voldemort was the Heir to Slitherin and opened the Chamber, the "Chosen One" prophecy was for Harry AND Neville, Thestrals were pulling the carriages, Molly Weasley is a Bellatrix killing Badass, Need I go on...

Snape not being a bad guy in the first book was an amazing plot twist, at which point I learned what Rowling was capable of. The best plot twist overal was Sirius being a good guy. He was painted as a murderer and a bad guy is so many ways each more believe-able then the previous.

Can you explain did Snape actually die, or was he still alive after Nagini bited him?
Some of my friends say that he could be alive because he maybe had some heal potion or someting else with him + Arthur was bited my Nagini but he survieved + Harry didn't see Snape in the forest with the Stone near Lily, James and others that died for him although he knew that Snape died trying to protect him.

I think all of those + Tom Riddle was Voldemort and Harry had to die were the ones I wasn’t expecting to. The Hapf Blood Prince being Snape one was unfortunately spoiled for me :( But the the one that made my mouth opened was Dumbledore’s death
