Thanks for this, I received the S4 a few days ago and I totally got scammed by a friend's seller. I should've known from the price I bought it for (350$). My 'fake' phone has the exact same features as you showed in the video - embossed 'SAMSUNG' writing on back, yellow LED, absence of 'SAMSUNG S4' on the lower portion of back cover. I also found that the Weather Widget refuses to locate my current location and city and only gives the option of American cities (I live in Australia - seller got it from Sydney). The phone is updated but is classified as incapatable to common apps like Westpac. And the advanced function camera on Instagram is 180 deg off normal.

uh i'm pretty sure that the international version doesnt have the galaxy s4 imprinted on the back of the phone

Most obvious thing I spotted was that the front-facing camera is not in line with the sensors on the real one, it's a little lower. He should have said that first, since that's going to be something you can spot whether it's on or off, and anyone selling is for sure going to show the front, if not the back or sides.

well to be honest if you live outside of the US like the EU if you buy the S4 you will not see the Galaxy S4 logo on the back :/

You forgot to open the battery lid and check how it is built. I once saw a fake S3 that had all components in plastic with a very cheap look and no metal components at all. But thanks for the video anyway, keep it up!

For all who say that the back of their device has the fake one.... Well, it varies between carriers and countries.

in the front of the fake one the touchscreen buttons don't give light (i noticed in the vid)

My GT-I9505 doesn't have the 'Galaxy S4' lettering AND the 'samsung' logo is engraved and you can clearly feel the lettering. So those aren't reliable ways to judge the authenticity of the phone.
One thing easily noticed are the position of the sensors. The sensors on the fake are lower than the real one.
Also the biggest giveaway is the screen and OS. Few of my friends have the fake ones and the screen quality is just not good. Pixelation, discolored, not as crisp as the real one. Also the OS is a cheap Touchwiz knock off that can easily be found out. Half the settings are missing, sensor configurations missing (even though the sensors are present), and not fluid. The camera app is terrible, again, half the presets and modes gone, and the camera is weak. I wonder why you didnt talk about the software and screen aspects, and why you didnt talk about the still illustration they've placed under the glass. Is that a dummy model they use in showrooms?

For a second I thought I had a fake s4...then the exact color of MY LED reassured me of the fact that some of the real ones do not have the galaxy s4 thing on them period.
