iPhone 15! FIRST LOOK! New Design! 😳

This is our first look at the real iPhone 15 design now that CAD files are beginning to surface. What do you think of the design changes from last year?

It's pretty obvious that the recessed "buttons" are just the holes that the buttons will be placed in. The holes in the bottom of the recesses are probably where they attach to the frame and where the wires run through to be able to power the pressure sensitive sensors.

The "recessed" buttons/mute switch/sim tray look like that because this is only the CAD file for the body of the phone, not the extra buttons/switch/tray (that are all separate pieces)

I wonder if the slightly smaller bezels will allow for the island to be ever so slightly higher so as not to cut into content as much. If so, with USB C, improved optical zoom, and brighter screen, I may just upgrade from my 13 Pro. But it really is such a solid phone it’s harder to justify upgrading more and more these days.

I think the iPhone X was the biggest change in the entire line. I was hoping they would lean into the iPhone 4 design a bit more with the circle buttons or something

I am actually excited to see the haptic touch buttons.... I know on my AirPod Pros I thought for the longest that it had buttons... If Apple can do the same for the iPhone I will be in love with it

I’m so glad Apple isn’t going back to 2.5D glass. It was amazing in 2014, but I prefer the flat glass because of how well it fits with glass screen protectors so well.

The camera bump can't be big enough for me. I hate sacrificing sensor size for a slightly smaller phone. Photos are memories and you may want to keep some of them forever. So the quality should be as good as possible. I hope Apple will one day come with an "Apple Camera" with a much larger sensor. There really is a market for something like that.

The indents in the side are where the capacitive surfaces will go. The capacitive surfaces are not represented on this cad file.

i’m pretty sure those aren’t the buttons 😭 i think the way the CAD files were obtained without the actual buttons pieces… the mute switch is not recessed

Yep this is 100% official, go check the iphone 14, 13, 12 CAD files they haven’t been wrong. They are 1 to 1 outside design.

Just got a 14 pro last September. Happy not much is changing but the slimmer bezels on the 15 already make my 14 feel dated. Apart from that is just seems like a 14 pro with usb c

I really like bumper cases so I once again bought one for my 14 Pro from rhinoshield, and my phone is so bulky now haha. I got used to it, but my Xs feels like a newer phone since it’s so much thinner. The 48mp photos are incredible tho!

This is crazy-Thanks Sam for sharing this, The suspense when you were about to say usbc was crazy, Finally we are actually getting it.Also this updated design is not what I thought but it’s still cool, Though I do agree that I wish we saw more of a leap forward in these phones!!.Also that camera bump, It’s a bit worrying!!.

How do you "hard reset" a phone that has no real buttons? Are the phones going to never truly turn off?

They need to make the chassis thicker to make the phone even with the camera bump. Really can’t stand how big it’s getting.
