@thepiecesfit the redirect is done based on the host (see 3:45). Therefore, the sonicwall is only looking for the host / domain and not the URI (e.g. the trailing slash and path-filename)

In your case, depending on your underlying OS / web server, you should be able to and a redirect on the server.

Thank you! I actually am using it in reverse (incoming) instead of out. But it works great. I have a linux system setup for owncloud, I put a DNS entry for a subdomain (A record) in the DNS to point to our sonicwall which already handles emails. Using your directions I only changed OUTBOUND to INBOUND, For the address to redirect to, I used the domain name I put in the DNS with the Port appended. There is an existing rule in the sonicwall to redirect that port to the inside system - so that rule would need to be added first. (I just used the wizard) - But now I don't need to use the IP address with port.

Nice tutorial and I know it's a bit old so I may not get a reply but is it possible to append things to URL's as opposed to a complete redirect? For example, having the need to append a URL variable to the end of certain URLs?

Is it possible to redirect "anything" to a particular site? I mean, irrespective of what a client types, it should always be redirected a particular webpage.

I have SSO implemented in my LAN. I have macs on My network and in order for them to be able to navigate to the internet, they have to login first to the firewall. Is there a way that right after they login, for the firewall to redirect them to a specific URL?
