We are a family of 6 living life in North Pole, Alaska! Where Santa Claus House is right down the street! We love spending time together as a family, having fun, learning through homeschooling, growing in our faith, and building our forever home! Bert, yes I can relate! I went on a day trip out of state in my 20s with a girlfriend & my hubby cut off his thumb at work. When I got home he was in the hospital getting it sewn back on. In my 30s, I went on a girls weekend with my younger sister, step mom & family & my hubby had a wreck. Thankfully everyone was okay. I went out of town for my 45th bday with a girlfriend for a week (our bdays are 5 days apart) & when I got back my hubby went into the hospital for 10 months before he passed away. Then I took my granddaughter on a Colorado adventure trip with me for my 50th bday. My radiator blew up in Garden of the Gods. Thankfully the kind people of Colorado Springs helped us continue our trip & enjoy it & we got the car fixed the next day. However, needless to say, I’m kind of afraid of going out of town anymore. My parents are in their late 70s & early 80s & I just don’t see myself going anywhere until after they pass. It’d be my luck something would happen while I was gone & I’d come home to planning funerals. I just go camping now about 1-5 hours away from home & never for more than 2 nights at a time.
I always thought it was just MY bad luck. I hate it for y’all, but I’m comforted knowing it ain’t just me.

Evelyn, being a former gymnast of 12 years. Most people don't understand how difficult gymnastics is and how much training goes into it. I wanted to say your form, your skill, your confidence has all greatly improved!! Gymnastics teaches you many, many things, but I think one of the most important things that translates in to life is that no matter how many times you fall, the most important thing is getting back up! You're doing amazing!!
