James Webb Space Telescope Reveals Stunning Details of Ring Nebula

The James Webb Space Telescope has captured a stunning new image of the Ring Nebula, revealing intricate details that have never been seen before. The image shows the nebula in infrared light, which allows us to see through the dust and gas to the faint stars and galaxies that lie behind. The rings of the nebula consist of thousands of dense clumps of molecular hydrogen gas. Outside the main ring, "spikes" can be seen which may have formed in the shadows of the dense clumps. Furthur out, wisps and tendrils of gas from the dying star can be seen. In the background, far furthur away, numerous faint galaxies are visible.
