I think that consistency sets people up to have time doing other things. Kind of like a capsule wardrobe or even a basic set of clothes. Less choice frees you up for other mental energy. Still in my 'system'...my EDC is a monthly travelers notebook tucked into a 16mm ring pocket...where I'm using 2011 week on one page. Everything is the same for 2022 so it's getting used. With a couple of peanut planner co inserts that's all I care to maintain. I spend more time with journals, doodling, and trying out fountain pen inks this year.

Oh John, I really love these notebooks of yours. I enjoy watching your videos and now I am heading over to your I'm currently in Hobo weeks and Hobo A6....but I miss my Travelers Co Notebooks and covers so much...I'm going back into them!!

Hey John 🙂 am glad you’re doing well and I hope your hubby and pets are too 👍🏻 I’ve bounced from my TN into my first A5 Roterfaden so am playing with that set up and feel guilty for not using my TN 😂 Love those things. You have some good inserts you’ve made as well. On a side note I always watch Ancient Aliens and Expedition Bigfoot is a must as well, HA. Cya in the next one 👍🏻😃

The only thing I've been consistent with for the last 4-5 years is using a Hobonichi Weeks for functional planning. Everything else is for playing/memory keeping/creativity. I have several TN's, Hobo's, etc that I move in and out of. Im not consistent with anything else lol. I'm glad you are feeling better.

Woohoo, planner update video! 😍 As for my system I started the year the way I ended last year: in a hobonichi weeks, I couldn't bond with it I think and I missed my old system which was a TN monthly combined with a dotgrid in which I do everything else (weeklies, dailies, collections, scribbles...). So the past two months I have been cheating on my weeks with a recycled A6 hobonichi dayfree I had laying around with a bunch of unused pages and I gotta say she has been delightful! ❤️

I'm 4th year running now with a standard TN as my main stay. I started journaling in an A6 Stalogy in Dec of 2019. I don't journal every day but I've stuck to this journal. And I'm logging medical stuff in a passport. I let the others I was doing last year rest. I do have one of those I'd like to change (the passport to a B6, which is what I did last year, and which has more room) but I'm determined to fill the insert I'm in before switching so I can file a completed book.

Gotta love traveler's notebooks! Glad to hear you're feeling better ♡
I got a mini Filofax last month for work, and I'm loving it. I made my own TRP daily inserts for it, which is the perfect amount of space for my to-do lists. I'm also using the weeklies that came with it for meetings, but don't think I'll use them next year.
Other than that, I'm still primarily in my TNs :)

I have been using the Weeks all year and I like it for on the go but I miss having more space. I'm tempted to try a Cousin. I definitely need more structure in mine. I can't do pure bujo style.
