I used to work at bass pro. We used to do that after closing. Those damn fish will bite literally anything if you drop it in. Of course we never used hooks. They’d eventually just let go.

I like how most of the bass near by didn’t react since in the wild bass can actually learn what is and isn’t a fisherman’s lure and/or bait. Some even know how to free themselves.
