A brief walk-through of the store prior to its closing a couple of years later. Video'd at the end of a wet miserable day so I had the store almost customer free.
There were rumours of the store closing so I wanted to record it before that happened.

Looks practically empty... Any wonder it closed down?

It's shameful to see this boarded up and derelict since January 2020. It destroyed this part of Canterbury which has lost lots of upmarket retailers as well. It's recovering now but the three Debenhams buildings need to be in use again and should be a department store. Mr Ashley could have put a Frasers in the main building and a Flannels in the old Homeware store. It is sad to see such a large blot in the city centre. Vacant since January 19th 2020.
