That would explain why Rex was able to put up any resistance when he received order 66. Being one of the first batches of clones his inhibitor chip was likely already starting to lose its potency at the time it was activated. Basically all the newer clones would surcuumb to the order almost flawlessly while the older ones are to some extent able to fight their chips that are starting to near their expiration.

That would be amazing to see a Clone rebellion with the bad batch, Hauser, wolf, Gregor, Rex maybe Commander Cody and Commander doom and also the men that stood with Hauser
dustinkennedy
The way I see it, the vast majority of clones were always going to side with the Empire for pretty much the same reasons as Crosshair. The chip was simply insurance for clones like Rex or Howzer that got too attached to people.

Palpatine: execute order 66!
Clone trooper in the middle of nowhere: Well Jedi bad I guess.
Lego-Joe-
I would necessarily say it has limits. Order 66 main purpose was to eliminate the Jedi and that’s it. It’s entirely possible that clones would look down on the empire after the order is over with
corpyhogan
Many clones who were particularly close to their Jedi, such as Commander Bly, would probably take their own lives.
Experiment
I would like to see an episode with a gilt filled Cody trying to track down Obi-Wan hopping he could ever forgive him over what happened and meets up with the bad batch for help.

I hope Captain Howser comes back for later episodes

I like the fact the clone troopers are waking up to the fact they've been duped by the Empire and are willing to now fight it.

I hope and believe we will get to see about the cloning project of the Zillo Beasts sponsored by the Empire. I know. I know. The Empire destroyed the Tipoca City and its cloning facility. But they have Nala Su and their cloning technologies in their hands already. So they are being transported to the place suitable for cloning the giant beasts with the strongest skins the galaxy has ever seen. And then, the Bad Batch steps in and ruin the entire cloning project, maybe even taking out Vice-Admiral Rampart as well.
lerneanlion
This explains why Wolfe was willing to work with Jedi in Rebels after he and his men killed Plo Koon.

I kinda hate how we didn't get to see the battle of Kamino like in the Battlefront 2 game when old an new fight
biopuppet
Clone order 66 and droid order 99 if they combined in the Jedi purge
thetheorizermoore
Nice love it keep up the good work dude love all your Star Wars videos
ironspider
As adaptable as the brain can be I can see the clone's brains slowly acclimating to the chips and developing workarounds to the conflicting thoughts. In other words developing a better resistance to the chip's influence.
localHazzard
also the empire would likely use the clones while they are useful like the old light bulbs still some are used but when they die you get a weird tube one
timgersh
Dude, first of all, canon & Legends are two different entities at this point. Secondly, the clones were conditioned to follow orders regardless of the regime in power. Like you just mentioned in the video it’s what they were bred for. Period.
The Bad Batch like a dyad in the Force are anomalies created in a lab. You can’t even compare them. Crosshair said it himself. They’re superior in every way & could’ve evolved into so much more.

I can identify with Rex... I'm bald too
