I have had the favorite and abandoned cart coupons set up from the first week they started offering them. Only two sales in all the years used the code.
I also told Etsy to send me coupons from my own favorites and cart....I have been sent ONE, letting me have 5% off IF I bought $75 or more.
Etsy said it was going to be hit or miss, but for good or bad, I seem to have been missed, mostly.
I give a 20% discount code to use if a buyer/potential buyer signs up for my email list (AWeber). And AWeber is very slow to send the confirmation letter to make it official or the letter goes straight to the SPAM folder.
I have more people on "pending" than on my list!

Also Etsy will not tell us who they have sent the coupons.
I encourage anyone that has made an inquiry about my products, favorited an item or purchased anything to turn on the button that will tell Etsy they want to know about new items, sales and back in stock. Many customers turn off all notifications because Etsy can get really annoying - buy this, because you liked that, etc. When I had everything turned on, I was getting 12 emails from Etsy every day.

People in my store who have favorited an item get notified with a discount. So running a sale is kind of a repetition.
