I've got a 2004 Silver 1.8 T Bex B6 A4 Avant S-Line Quattro with Alcan tera and leather seats, sunroof, 6 speed and I've fitted SQ5 20" wheels..
One cool thing I didn't Know was if you hold the unlock button on key fob while car is locked it opens all the windows and sunroof at once .. really cool on a hot day plus you hold the lock key button and it winds all windows up plus closes the sunroof .. love my Audi :)

Hey guys! I have an a4 avant in the states. 6 speed 1.8t. Now I feel awesome for having that 6th gear.

If you have issues with the wipers like I do, buy some cheap 22" blades and disassemble them. Take the new rubber squeegee and install in your blades. It's pretty self explanatory. Just get one end cap off of your bosch wipers and take all the pieces off one end leaving the other cap on. Slide out rubber piece, replace with new one. Bam. $20 for 2 new wiper blades!

I'm jealous of your door cards and color. But my atlas grey is pretty awesome for stealth speeding since nobody looks at you.

Gas cap has notches for sitting on gas door as stated by others, as for the hand brake, I agree, it is dumb. What’s funny is I’ve owned an 8P, B6 and B7 all with this style and people always ask when I drive other cars like my Volvo or BMW why I grab the front of the P-brake with my palm instead of using it normally hahaha.

1.8t is the best sounding 4 cylinder VAG engine. Exhaust does wonders. Obviously the massive mufflers from factory can make anything sound like a hair dryer.

There’s two little notches in the gas cap itself that hooks onto the fuel door. Took me awhile to find on mine

I have the sedan and i love the hell out of it but the way the looks of the sedan compared to the avant makes the sedan look like a sausage

They are a good looking car, they handle awesomely and I miss mine sooo much! 😢 Should never of sold my A4 B6 1.9 tdi Quattro Avant!!!

With hate number 9 i have the same. When shifiting it is Like a Bamm! What you mean with lock for quattro?

Mine is a six speed bex lump on 2005. Thought they all had 6 speed box

Neat car and great looking. Looking at a semi-auto B6 at the mo, could be a winner if the hex oil drive isn't worn to bejasus. We'll see..

I owned one and I loved the car! It was comfortable and fun to drive with a killer sound system.

Only downside is that the AC, radiator fan, axles, and control arms broke from 119k-155k of driving it.

My shifter is much less Wigley I have 6 speed S4. Nice car! Wish I had avant!.

how reliable are these? what should you look out for in second hand one and how many miles/km are their expiry ? cheers

Own 2004 B6 6-speed Avant Quattro with the BEX 190bhp 20v engine. On line tuning says a reliable 275bhp possible? My insurance broker has the same car & informed me that a guy in germany has the 1.8t 20v with 1000bhp! I believe the BEX engine has a steel bottom end, making it very tough. Mine was 16.9yrs old @ May'21 when bought & 9 owners & 146k miles for £1900. Now 157k miles @ April'23. Goes great, handles nicely, fuel usage circa 30mpg & ULEZ compliant (unlike direct injection 2.0 220bhp engine in the B7). Upgraded the "end of life" exhaust to a TopGear 3.5" stainless version for £550+fitting, now sounds abit like an RS version. IMHO these cars are some of the best Audi made, without being overly complex. I deliberately bought this model as opposed to the complex 4.2 V8 S4/RS4 or even the 3.0 V6. Still got plenty of life left in it - aiming for 200k mileage & 25yrs. :- )
