Designing inclusive play spaces where children with disabilities can play without barriers, regardless of their physical or intellectual abilities.

Based on insights gained from interviews with over 100 parents of children with disabilities and observational studies of children with disabilities, we focused on activities that children universally find enjoyable, regardless of their abilities. Therefore, the design emphasizes actions like hiding, climbing, running, and crawling, giving children the autonomy to lead their play without prescribing specific ways of play. This approach allows children with and without disabilities to play together and breaks away from traditional playground structures like slides and seesaws. Additionally, we used eco-friendly paper materials to design a play space that is easy to reuse and recycle.
