A short Demo of my DIY project to give a cheap set of amazon studio light an industry standard boost.

Bowens S Bracket

The DIY aims to take lights that are great for general lighting purposes, but lack any real form of control and make them fully professional by allow the use of various Bowens Mount light modifiers, such as barn doors, honey comb grids and fresnel lens light shaping tools.

You just save me 200 bucks, man. I was about to buy another cob light when I ran into your tutorial and luckily I had all the items you mentioned on the video. Worked like a charm with my honey grid softbox, thank you so much!

This was great. I have those light mounts and someone gave me a softbox. I was trying to figure out how to use it. This solution will work for me, thanks!

The honey comb filters are referred to as "grids". Hope that answers your question.

Maybe I missed it, but could you please put up a link to the video where you make the setup? It looks like you basically just cut off the bottom of the single light socket so the bowens mount would then fit on the light stand, is that right? What did you use to cut it? Also... would it fit with a Savage LED bulb? Thanks
