Two weeks have passed since the Zimmerman family lost their home in the Maui wildfires. However, the memories of the fire spreading and their escape remain fresh in their minds.

"It happened so fast," recalled Valerye Zimmerman.

Valerye and Eric are among hundreds of people from Lahaina who were displaced on August 8. They fled on foot as the heavy winds carried the thick smoke over their neighborhood.

Eric, who is originally from Hanover, York County, recorded the smoke as he escaped.

There is a woman from Hawaii that is broadcasting and interviewing people check out the video where she interviews an arborist. He will tell you that this is not a normal fire plastic did not melt. Trees did not burn up and anything metal was destroyed. He will tell you how this happens and he has experienced these things in California as well, this fire is not natural. He will explain things in the video, track it down and spread the word.

I don't get the attitude of these two persons, seriously they supposedly lost their home and they look happy to me, yes I'm a positive dude not attached to material things, believe me, but I think after seeing and live trough the images of destruction and knowing that after 115 deaths still there are 1100 missing persons, knowing that more than 180 dead bodies just arrived to the coast of a neighbour Island and hasn't being reported yet, knowing the amount of kids and disabled people who din't know what to do and died engulfed by the fire, knowing that there has been negligence that allowed this to be worst that it should be, I don't know man, but I think I wouldn't be able to sit down and talk about this without having a breakdown.

Great couple…so very sorry they lost their home and many friends, but greatful they are still able to stay busy doing what they love by feeding those in need. I have to say I cringed everytime the interview spoke. He was awkward at best, had no emotions whatsoever and asked the same question about feeding the people immediately after they just told them. I felt like he must’ve been sleeping as they spoke, because when it was time for the next question, he was searching for words, etc. He didn’t ask if there were any links to donate to or ask if they needed anything personally and never explained the sorrow for their loss. He even answered, “good” after they just told one of their stories. He must be related to Biden. God bless the Zimmermans and Merrimans Restaurant for feeding so many fire survivors. 🙏🏼❤️
