PS5 Crashing, Freezing, Frame Rate Dropping FIX!

1) Turn PS5 off completely (not in rest mode)
2) Hold the power button down until it beeps twice to enter Safe Mode
3) Select option #5, Rebuild Database

Thank you so much. I finally had some free time and was having one of the best games of my life playing COD Cold War Zombies when the game froze and a loud buzzing noise started. Thank the halls of Valhalla I’m older and more mature now and didn’t throw my controller out the window and beat my ps5 with a baseball bat, sacrifice 2 goats and a chicken and then set it on fire. I calmly gave my tv the death stare and then came to my light and savior YouTube.

And it’s normal for this to happen right being a new system I don’t wanna take mine back and have to wait for nothing if it will be fix sooner or later with an update

When I rebuild my database it never rebuilds it

Thank you for this video. I just finished rebuilding my database (and cleared the cache just in case) on my PS5. The issue I had was that while I was playing "Ghost of Tsushima", when I tried to manually save my progress, sometimes the PS5 froze. I don't know whether rebuilding the database solved the issue or not, but hopefully it did.
I also hope PlayStation or Sony come out with a software update to help reduce this from happening.

Thank you !! Mine was totally frozen, green pixels locked up on a game. Turned it off/on and still frozen. Then followed this video to put it into safe mode and "rebuild database" and all seems to be well again.

thanks to techwiz0 my ps5 seems to bricked after an hour of play i was able to play an hour of austro until the controller randomly disconnected and refuse to sync back to the console  it just flashed blue light when I pressed my ps5 hooking it via  cable didn't help techwiz0 got it fixed .

My ps5 freezes every single time I play fifa 21 or black ops Cold War, all I’ve been told is to contact the game developers but i know for sure it’s a faulty ps5, should I try send it back to Sony or Argos(the shop I got it from)

Try moving it to an open cabinet to give it air flow, your cabinet is too tight

Yesterday AC Valhalla freezed for 20 seconds every time i started, i do this and that fix the problem, thenks man! Is that freeze software bug?I just scared thats gpu or ssd problem!
