🚨 PSA to LIMC's audience 🚨

Be aware of troll spam bots are gonna spam in the comment section. If you see them, report them as spam and move on. Do not reply to them what they say.

One more thing is to not cause any comment wars over trolls. They'll crave your reactions.

I want to make it abudantly clear:

TF2 is *not* fixed.

Valve's ban wave, while appreciated, is not enough. There will need to be future bans as well and I beg the people watching this video to continue their support for #FixTF2.

Valve is on the treadmill but they need to stay on it.

Tf2: "You cannot kill me, I do not have permission to die!!"

Just a few things to note:
1. Shounic believing 16k bots were removed seems to be a hasty error on his part when he went he made his quick response video to the situation. Whilst many bots were definitely banned, the reason for a 16k dip in player activity is due to scheduled server reboots. Most of these were likely idling bots that farm items, and they have to be manually turned on by the hoster which will create a spike in player activity from that hoster depending on how many bots each hoster has set up. 16k bots did not get banned simultaneously, 16k bots were logged out simultaneously and a good portion of them were likely logged back in afterwards. This does not mean bots aren't being kicked - They absolutely are, this stat is just a misconception however.

2. VALVe did not "Fix" TF2 - they seem to be removing bots manually, likely as a temporary solution. Much of the community speculates they have done this so the TF2 community doesn't boycott a summer crate drop that is expected to drop soon, and many are cautious that once it has dropped and people have spent money, that VALVe might drop the treadmill work. If VALVe were to "Fix" TF2, it would be by overhauling a incredibly outdated anticheat for TF2, CS2/CSGO and Deadlock (Which hasn't even released yet and already has cheaters).

Don't get me wrong, what is happening is good. However, last year we celebrated immediately, and VALVe took it as a sign to go back to the shadows and let the problem fester again. The fact is that TF2 is a product. Even if it's free at the moment, many people are still paying for content in this game and VALVe is still advertising it as a functioning product (Even if the only thing they do is hastily add lootboxes for 2 minutes every 6 months). If you are advertising a product as functioning, you are expected to maintain that products functionality. If lead leaks into a water pump, yes the pump still technically works, but the company is expected to fix the lead leakage and stop poisoning the people who drink from the pump. Ideally they're working on a more permanent solution in the background, but for now all we can do is wait and respond to the scenario, or make the most of TF2 being functional at the moment.

Y'know it's pretty funny how I just got into a Match, saw 6 snipers and almost had a Heart attack before I actually started playing and saw there was actually just 6 Human Snipers right Before seeing this video

This is just a start. Valve needs to stay on top of this, because it won’t be long until the bots and cheaters try to return. Let’s hope that Valve sticks around for a while instead of just disappearing again.

While this is a step in the right direction, many players believe this is just Valve buttering up the community just before the Summer update in hopes that the players will spend more money. I am hoping that they'll prove us wrong and that this is a sign of good things to come in the future.

Dont celebrate too early, valve did some bot cleanups in the past already. What TF2 needs is constant maintenance, not one-off cleaning. Boycott them this summer update - voice yourself with your money

This week is absolutely nuts, Not Like Us music video came out, and Valve finally touched TF2 for the first time in years.

on a serious note, the bot issue hasnt been resolved just yet as bots can and will return as they make more accounts, it is just a single ban wave hopefully out of many, valve hasn't finished their job and we should make them responsible with fixing the current hurdles of the game
