US election 2020: Is this set to be the most contested election? - BBC Newsnight

US President Donald Trump and his reelection campaign have signalled they will pursue an aggressive legal strategy to try to prevent Pennsylvania — a key election battleground — from counting mailed ballots that are received in the three days after the election. Some in the state fear protests could ensue if voters believe their ballots haven’t been counted.

As the president refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the election, is it democracy that is on the ballot this time round?

Newsnight’s Emily Maitlis reports from Pennsylvania — the cradle of American democracy, where the US’ founding fathers signed the declaration of independence and later the constitution.

very developed country, where money and power is all that matters, life is cheaper than dirt (you are dying but dont have insurance? keep on bleeding), and votes in elections are shockingly not 1 person one vote but rather where you were born - swing state? we care, something else? your vote means nothing

There is a huge difference between revering autocrats and wanting global security. That means, having friendly ties with all people. Oh sorry, does diplomacy only exist if you’re a democrat?

Why can't Republicans allow press to video their town meetings?

We from other countries in the world hope that Biden wins this election, Trump showed how weak and miserable he is during Corona and the George Floyd case.

A man like this shouldn’t be the president ... for America... for the world!

The thing that impressed me the most is the blond woman at 4:45 saying: "we don't like socialism" (ok, of course, anyone has different political views) " we like our guns". Now, how is that related? Why the first thing that pops up in her mind is << I want my guns>>? I am sincerely asking it, I always struggled to understand this love for guns.

Yes and I suppose at the end Trump could win as the lead has been narrowed. Looks like people still put the economy as the first priority.
