No doubt about Choate’s abilities but BSU has the right coach. This program is strong and getting stronger every week.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DANIELSON INSTILLING THE HUNTER MENTALITY. What a master of psychology! Man some of you will never understand how important instilling that is. I will give an example. My junior year we played Shelley Idaho in the state quarter finals in holt arena. They beat us 42-7 because we were simply happy to be there. I will never forget the rug burns that astro turf supplied. The next year we played them in the state semi finals, they got up early on us 21-7, but our mentality was to keep swinging and that we were the hunters/better team and not satisfied with just being in that game(they were ranked #1 at the time) and we ended up winning 42-23 and went on to play in the state championship. As a side note they brought a cannon to our field and thousands of fans to our little town and had 100 players on their team. The cannon would go off and feel like your heart would explode when they scored. Moral of the story is that it doesn't matter if you are playing Tom Brady's Patriots, Patrick Mahomes Chiefs or a team you know you should blow out, you are the hunter!

If I remember correctly, when Harsin left the search was on for the new HC, several former players were highly touting Choate for the HC position. That says a lot about that coach. Our former players had such high regard for him and wanted him to get the HC position but Avalos got the call...drat!
Choate inherited a Nevada team with one foot in the grave and he is turning it around from nothing into a good team that will only get better. Who is best prepared wins the game...one dynamite coach against another.

Choate is a damn good coach with a proven ability to turn a program around. But this is yr 1 for them. 52-19 Broncos
