Cheating in Exams : Does the CISCE know how some schools are bending the ICSE Board Exam system?

As you mentioned in the case 3, the sane thing happened to us in geography icse class 10 paper, many questions were either twisted or were from the textbook out of our prescribed textbook

Honestly the satisfaction you get by studying on your own and getting marks is always better than cheating .My parents have always taught me that its better to be honest and score less than cheat and score more...don't worry guys god will take care..you just work harder for sem 2 .I'm proud of you guys!

The literature paper is one such example for this MCQ pattern, many students guessed or studied only once before exam, yet topped the paper, while we worked for the whole year but still ended up with lower marks

Sir this is completely true! All the students on the back and corners cheat and write their exams. Nearly 70% of their total score depends on cheating and illegal means. I've also seen a guy giving paper chits to their friend inside the examination hall but the teachers don't even notice.
The invigilators are too unfair with us. They don't let the students sitting in the front and center to even turn their head for a second and if we do, they tend to shout at us.

In most of the subjects, I've scored nearly an average of 35 inspite of being an above average student, while those students who bunked their classes, never did their homeworks, not submitted their projects, never scored even passing marks of 33% in their school examinations are getting 37-38 out of 40!

This is absolutely ridiculous. I appreciate you a lot for pointing this out.

Even when we complain about them to the invigilators, they just shout a warning and don't even deduct their marks!!!

Due to this, a lot of below average students are getting more than the toppers. If cheating is allowed then it should be allowed for everyone.

My friend also confessed that the invigilators in his school answer 3-4 marks worth of questions to students who ask.

Sir I am first bench unable to get more marks but getting average like 32. 33. 34 but last bench getting 40. 39. 38 how is this. This is true but just for fun 😂😂

Good afternoon sir.
Sir in our class 10 geography exam there were many questions out of syllabus.
Not only out of syllabus but sir from other books.
So I think council should strictly prescribe one book for every sub to avoid a fuss just like CBSE ncert.

If this is true it's shameful that the schools are doing this to increase their reputation. Instead of doing it they should have focused on their teaching. Hope that council looks into the matter.

Sir😂 in our school in soo big exam hall only 2 invigilators are appointed 🙂🙂🙂. My friends say that back benchers cheat very nicely 🙂🙂🙂. I feel very angry. I sit in 5th bench and I give exams on my own. But I feel very angry for those who are not so good students but will score more and top the subjects 🙂

This is true. I am giving ICSE Class 10 exams, and 40% students in my room cheat.

And I believe that it's injustice with the students who 'really' worked hard.

Due to which I reported the same to the invigilator everyday. But he never reported this to his seniors to take an action.

The exams have almost finished now, and those kids cheat everyday, literally everyday.

This will surely happen when there is no proper planning. CISCE didn't realised how much pressure they're putting upon us.Firstly, the decision of dividing the examinations was announced lately.By then many of us had completed Sem-2 chaps.Also, online schooling weren't as effective as the traditional offline schooling process.So, a majority of us face difficulties to get the chaps and complete it in such a limited time period.On top that, while preparing the Question paper CISCE didn't thought that we're the students of 2021-2022 session.They kept on preparing tough and tricky question papers.So, it's bound to happen because in the end marks matters the most to our parents and colleges and a school doesn't want their students to be called as 'Failures".

Well CBSE is far better with combined subjects, not a huge portion, exams with gaps in between and the cherry on the cake is that students get 45-50 questions out of which they are asked to attempt 40 questions (as told by one of my friends studying in CBSE medium). Unlike us, where we are tied with the hard and fast rule of attempting 40 questions.
What's even worse is that they gave 1.5 hours for a hindi paper and for a time taking subject like Physics students were given just 1 hour! In that short span of time we ended up completing the paper at the end and weren't even given a bit extra time to recheck.
Ridiculous.
Hope Council will be lenient to the students during semester 2.
Rest aside, hope everyone gets what he/she deserves.

Sir, In ICSE also many questions were out of the syllabus and out of our book too, in Geography exam there were some questions which were not in TOTAL GEOGRAPHY(Morning Star Publication) and we don't have a specific NCERT book from which all the questions will come

sir in our school, its too strict no one could actually attempt unfair means . and its too painful to know that some schools are promoting students to cheat .
