As memorable and beloved as it is today, Cars lost the Academy Award for Best Animated Movie to Happy Feet, which took advantage of more efficient motion capture technology. Maybe I’m biased because Cars is one of my favorite childhood films, and I’ve never liked Happy Feet. But Cars should have beat Happy Feet.
