On the 29th of June, The makers behind pet simulator X released the game, after the countdown for release has ended. The game started off by exploding in popularity and a lot of people like KonekoKitten, expressed their gratitude by calling it a good game, and being happy for the developers. But it’s the 17th of April, and it’s almost been 2 years since the game released. How in the world did the owner of Pet Simulator X, Preston, become one of the most HATED people on the entire Roblox platform?

Honestly, i think the tweet about F2P players being entitled was the nail on the coffin for preston. He was basically just saying that he doesn’t care about the F2P players and only cared about the P2W community. This man is the literal incarnation of greed.

One time, my friend had billions of diamonds worth of pets in his bank, but because of an exploit, he lost almost the WHOLE BANK. While he did use the P2W aspect, it was still the main reason why my friend quit the game, even after spending thousands of Robux. I also lost some pets, but since I use F2P, i didn't have anything valuable.

The thing is that the game not only makes extra expensive things but it doesn't let a chance to free2plays, which, is why Preston is so hated.

Making people take months for grinding is not something that a game should do to their free 2 play community.

BSS has this insane aspect of grinding as a simulator, but because you can't get far with P2W (unless your a billionaire) most people say the game is amazing. Even though most people don't get far, it still has a fairly active player base because the game has amazing updates without using P2W

the free to play players had every right to call out the pay to win thing right from the start. this reminds me of lots of games i played back when all i had was a phone that gave in and became pay to win. it's heart wrenching.

The thing is what has been doing is making update to kinda remove the f2p community, so only people who spend robux on his game will play it. It takes months of grinding just for a f2p player to get a huge, just one, and Preston releases an update that makes you delete it for basically no reason. While if ur a p2w player it’s basically just free huge pets, since they can just buy them with gems (which they can just buy from the shop)

Ahwoken studios is another one, they've renamed themselves to Lyrical Studios now to avoid the backlash they'd been getting. They started out with Era of Althea, a really good fantasy rpg game for it's time based off of Sword Art Online's game mechanics and Black Clover's magic system. Yk, very unique. After a period of 3-4 months the game became a buggy mess and instead of fixing their broken game, they straight up gave up on it and sold the same game to multiple people branching out into another separate area of "Era of Althea" drama. After that they planned on making a dragon ball z game which they **also** gave up on after taking money and donations too from various other people. Then they started working on some Naruto game called "Arisen" which seems promising but the last I joined their server they created some Mha game called "era of quirks" which is a cashgrab and their reasonign for that is "Era of quirks is to fund Arisen, our main project". Given their history so far though, I have 0 faith in them

Build Into Games was the best game creation group by far back in 2016. Guest Quest was something else back then. It is sad to see the turn they took .

when psx released, you could buy a specific pet for robux
you pay the robux, and get the pet shown there. nothing else.

nowadays, you pay 400 robux for a egg that's worth around 20b gems and you have a 1% CHANCE of getting something decent, which is the huge pet of course. If you don't, you get a companion pet that's worth the same as an event pet, those which you get for free.

not counting triple and octuple hatch, the shiny and secret hunter passes (without them it's borderline impossible to get a secret/shiny pet)

The only thing I am mad about build into games is that they took down old games that I enjoyed such as guest quest and giant survival 1 (and 2) and replaced it with this giant survival 3 that is very much more... "simulator like". I enjoyed their games in previous years, but they went all in on their new games to make that dough. It's nice to see that roblox devs are getting that bread but I miss the old games and the old culture, now we have a new culture of lots of bright colors and simulators. Truly capitalist.

I totally get your point. I have been “suffering” from the exact same too, but at this point it has become a trend on roblox: there are very few roblox game that are not pay to win and most of the time they get like 10% of the popularity they should have. Ex: Bee swarm simulator
What I mean by this is that you should talk about this in general
