I am 63 landscaper, hard work in hot Florida. A year ago thought I would have to find something else to do because I felt wore out tired with pain. Started taking 30 to 40k vit D3 daily for maybe a month. Since then I take 20, 000 IU of vit D3 with 200 vit k mk7. Now I work longer days, feel stronger, less pain, no adverse side effects. I research and doctor myself, don’t trust the pharmaceutical/doctors. Also take 800 mg magnesium, benfotamine (B1) and potassium. I don’t get sick. These simple things are for me a blessing from my father in heaven for which I am thankful!

I was on 50, 000 IU every other day, and was on this high dose for years! I finally had blood work that showed I'm no longer deficient, but here's the sad part, no one told me ( including a rheumatologist, neurologist, family doctor)! In researching on my own, I found out that you need to take K2/M7 along with taking D, or calcium won't go into your bones, and instead can go into your deep tissue, arteries, onto your bones, just like you are sharing! Thanks for sharing your experience! ❤

The big problem is finding a knowledgeable, competent doctor that actually wants to help you.

It’s basically criminal that health authorities have not updated Vitamin D recommendations. This is an excellent video. Get tested to makes sure of your dose. It’s very difficult to get enough vitamin D through sunshine alone.

Don’t worry about toxicity from D3 it’s extremely hard to get toxic from it. I have been taking high doses for many years and never got toxic. Actually high levels of D3 are crucial to fighting serious diseases of all kinds. I read 3 books about D3.

IMPORTANT: You should also be taking Vitamin K2 at the same time when you're taking 10, 000 ius of D3. D3 can still cause some calcification in your arteries. K2 removes the calcium from your arteries and puts it back into your bones, where it belongs. You only need 100 mcg of K2. The MK-7 version of K2 is supposed to be more effective than the MK-4 version.
Also, you should be eating some food with fat in it, at the same time as taking D3, so your body can absorb it, like nuts, avocado, etc. Essentially, any fats will work, but try to stick with the healthy fats.

I found this last year after years of suffering from depression. Vit D 10, 000 IU everyday has an immense effect on my mood and my Vit D leveles are usually between 50 to 60. I wish I knew this earlier.

I was taking 7000 a day and it did very little for me. So I increased to 10, 000 a day which raised my levels to 76. The toxic cutoff is above 100 so I'm not worried. My numbers fluctuate between 55 and 80. I believe this helped significantly during COVID.

CAUTIONARY TALE: In 2013 (at age 49) I was in a hospital rehabbing a major back injury. They found my vitamin D level was in the toilet at 14 nmol/L and was put on 20, 000 IU/day for a month. This brought my levels up to >30 but barely. I was put on a 5000 IU supplement per day and tested frequently to keep my levels between 50-100 nmol/L. This was done WITHOUT vitamin K supplements.

Flash forward 10 years…..Only in the last four years did I learn of the importance of vitamin K intake (naturally or via supplementation). I now have major arthritis in every main joint in my body! I’ve had a hip replacement, am soon to have one of two shoulder replacements, and have been told both knees will need replacements. I, and other health professionals, believe much of this was caused by inadequate vitamin K while supplementing with Vitamin D3. I am now a 59 y/o retired RN, but nutrition and vitamin interactions were only a minor footnote in my medical training. These things are more critical than you may think!

I have been taking 10-15, 000 units a day for over 10 years and have probably got 3-4 colds in that time. Before that, I had colds for 4-6 months of the year. My blood level now is 70. I now take 100 mg K2 mk 7 daily. When I caught the WooHan, it was like a mild flu. No Clot Shots, ever

My wife cured her Rheumatoid arthritis in six months taking 200, 000iu’s of D3, vitamin K2 magnesium and moringa. Started in June of 2019 and by Dec her blood levels for rheumatoid arthritis were 4. Her levels were 186. Now she’s on a maintenance dose of 50, 000iu a day.

I recently went to a new doctor who appeared to be closing in on maybe 70. I thought I was getting a younger one. She told me to stop taking 3000 of D a day because it would stop my heart and kill me. The funny/not funny thing is, when she ordered my bloodwork, she didn't include my D level. She also said I had calcified ear wax in one ear and when I got to an ENT, he pulled out a piece of cotton. The woman is obviously not fit to practice and I have to find another doctor. I actually went to her because another doctor misdiagnosed me about another health issue. It's getting really hard to get help. I'm really sorry to say this but when doctors get to a certain age, they should be evaluated to see if they are still competent enough to help people live instead of wasting our time. Personally, it discourages me from seeking help at times and that's why I end up in the ER which is not how it should be.

I am in the health industry and i know how things operate. The reason why they tell the doctors to tell their patients to take 1000iu is because they know its not enough and that it will not do anything. So you have to take alot more this is proven. Its sad that people actually think that going to your doctor is the place to go when you are sick but nothing can be furthur from the truth

I had my Vitamin D level checked 1 month ago and I was at 22ng/ml(low). After finding out my low level I started taking 10, 000 IU of D3 EVERYDAY and getting some natural sunshine. I just got my blood tested on Feb 1st and now I am up to 39ng/ml! I feel way better. No side effects from taking 10, 000 IU/daily. Once I hit 60ng/ml I will lower it to 6, 000 IU to see if I can sustain the 60ng/ml. I weigh 210lb

You are 100% correct. Even 5, 000 IU's per day is peanuts.

My doctor told me last week that my Vitamin D levels were 96 which I was really pleased with as doctor said it was in normal range. On having access to my records, I realise that the UK measure the levels in nmol/l rather than ng/l. Therefore my level was 96nmol/l which in effect is only 38ng/ml.
I take 3000 IU of Vitamin D every day with K2. I am a dark skinned lady and am now thinking I need to increase my Vitamin D supplementation. It feels to me that doctors are happy with blood level readings that are adequate or sufficient. Shouldn't the aim be to reach optimal levels??

I have ME and fibromyalgia. My vitamin D level was around 28 in October when they first checked. We Scandinavians usually have the lowest in March, April so a low
October made me really weak. It was difficult to stand still upright.
I take Holistics 5000IU once per day. I'm over 100 now and that made a big change for me. Dr. Lars Humble says it's great to reach over 100 up to 120 to minimize brain fog

I have taken 30, 000 a day for many years, but you must take vitamin K2 and the proper amount of magnesium.
