Docker Tutorial | How To Copy A File From A Running Docker Container To Host?

In this video tutorial, I’ll start by pulling a Redis docker image using the command docker pull Redis. After pulling this docker image, I’ll show that I currently have that image locally, and I’ll create a docker file that will start the image and copy a text file to the container's root.

After that, I’ll enter the interactive bash of the running container and check that the file is there. After confirming it, I’ll just copy the file from the running docker container to my host machine.
