PART 3 ... I head to Gillards Beach Campground for some quiet time and absorb it all in before hitting the tracks again. What a great spot, kangaroos everywhere, spectacular beachfront camping and a sunrise that will take your breath away.

So sad to see people packed in there. Back in my youth we used to just about have that stretch of coast to ourselves between Tatura and Wapengo. Stupid fool that I am I took it all for granted. Such a nice stretch of coastline. The sunrise you captured was supreme and I won’t comment on the fishing thing😂. Thanks once again for the trip down memory lane. It makes me realise why I have such fond memories of the far south coast.

I dont mind a beachside camp. Some really good ones around, I just prefer to do them midweek or in quieter months when on my own.

That sunrise was magnificent mate. Well worth getting up early. That said, I still like your secluded spots more. The trips slipped right again, the roads won't open till the 3st now (supposedly).
