Episode 36 - Ephesians 4:8-10

As Paul introduces the topic of gifts given to the church he used an example from Psalm 68 to teach about the role of Christ's descent to earth and ascent to heaven as basis for His right to give these gifts.

Thanks a lot for this explanation. I always wondered about this passage. The fact that Jesus having conquered death now has the right to give gifts to his church in order to fulfill the task, really spoke to me. Gifts are not just a nice and handy addition to the Christian life but are directly linked to the precious victory of Christ.
