This is especially brilliant, the stage business is so excruciatingly funny

Just about the only time in all of opera where the maid gets to shine with a pair of high Cs, and this maid does a terrific job of it!

This version of Il Barbiere is so perfect, my three favourite singers on the same stage and I also really liekd the staging/ production. The version from Covent Garden with Florez and DiDonato is also a favourite of mine, I would not be able to choose between the two, but luckily I don't have to :-). Such amazing singing! JDF is the definite Almaviva for me.

I like this version very much because you basically can just hear John del Carlo (my favourite basso buffo) and sometimes Joyce di Donato

I wish the Met would release this performance on DVD.

Rossini irrangiungibile per chiunque su questo pianeta.

This is a good one, but I still believe the gold standard is the Met's performance from 1958 on RCA with Robert Merrill as Figaro and Roberta Peters as Rosina. That recording is well worth seeking out.

So difficult! So much going on at one time. I wonder how they all concentrate so well.

Some negative comments on this fabulous performance reminds me Don Bartolo reaction on Rosina’s Contro un cor aria))) I wish I could be there, that was so much of energy in every note!
