The issue is Walz implying he was in Combat.

Vance has never claimed to be in combat. He has rightfully said he was deployed to Iraq while enlisted in the marine corps.

The issue is lying-not who was present in combat.

Um JD's job in Iraq was to show reporters around. Now, HE was in a dangerous place, he did his job, that job is what they asked him to do and thus he served honorable. Walz never said he was in combat, he did USE guns and he taught people how to use them. THAT was part of HIS job. BJ (it IS BJ isn't it?) is applying a meaning to what Walz said that is NOT there. They got nothing and are trying their best to make SOMETHNG.
