Any resolution to your issue?  I have  a similar problem.  

The first lens I put on my brand new out of the box D7100 was a 70-200 mm F.8 and it wouldn't come off!  Unlike yours though my lens wouldn't rotate at all.

 I took it to Nikon service centre in Richmond, BC and they managed to get the lens off, but they said that the release pin is broken and because I only had my camera is less than 1 week old I should be able to take it back to the store and exchange it for a new one.

 Of course when I went back to the store I was told that they won't exchange it without Nikon Service Manager saying it's ok to do so!  Turns out the Nikon Service Manager has now decided that I put the lens on incorrectly, , thus voiding the warranty!

I am still pursuing this matter with them, but will let you know the outcome.
I am curious to know what happened with yours and Buschtall's camera
