From what I've seen here in Wisconsin, most people that drive trucks are also the kind of people to help pull someone out if they get stuck, and also the kind of people to have extra fuel if someone runs out, so Ford putting in a rescue charger just makes sense

The Taco Bell thing reminds me of the old pneumatic tube system in large cities. It might be a bit silly, but I actually always did like the idea itself for reducing congestion by being able to deliver to more than just one or two windows at once. Certainly as we go into an age where more and more of the internal processes inside of a restaurant are automated and orders are ready faster than before thanks to having multiples of each machine churning out orders one after another it might be a smart idea to have a delivery system that can deliver to 4+ cars at once.

That Taco Bell reminds me a bit of the McDonald's that was by my university. It was built on a really steep incline, with the lobby and kitchen on top of the hill, and the drive through pickup window at the bottom of the hill. So to get food from the fry cooks to the cars in the drive through, the takeout bags were attached to one of those conveyors they use at dry cleaning places. Something about my cheeseburger needing to be carried via machine to my car made it taste better.

I think I remember going through a Big Rooster drive-through a *loooong* time ago which had a similar setup. Although it wasn't a multi-lane affair, they had just positioned the drive-through lane a long way from the restaurant and used a conveyor lift system thing to send your order across the parking lot.
(Big Rooster no longer exists in Australia. I think they were bought by Red Rooster)

At least reliable Apple insiders have been reporting on the iPhone switching to USB-C next year. And since the EU now prohibits phones that can otherwise fit a USB-C port from going portless, it’s not like Apple had much of a choice. Hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer for the AirPods to follow suit.
