As much as I dislike Skip as a personality, I respect him as a person for what he’s been able to accomplish. His entire career (lasting over 50 YEARS) has been based on being the heel. He thrived in it and completely, for better or worse, changed the entire landscape of sports commentary whether people think he did or not. Nevermind the fact he has a very long history of hiring and boosting black commentators without ever talking about it as a thing. That's a rare thing in these days of clout-chasing social justice.
