Broan Ceiling Fan

Broan (Sheng Yuan/Alaska) 42" ceiling fan in white/polished brass. This is a fan I found in the trash during Cleanup Week I believe in 2019? If I don't get to them right away, they all bleed together and I can't remember for sure. I don't have any information on the model number or anything, I'll add the info here if someone's got it. The entire thing was covered in kitchen grease, took a lot of cleaning work especially on the blades. I was barely able to see the Broan logo on the foil sticker and that was about it, and of course as soon as I tried gently cleaning it to see better, all the print wiped away. It came with a pretty generic 4 arm light labeled for Broan, because of that I still have it floating around somewhere. Just didn't really want to clean that as well, and I also didn't like the proportions of it on this fan, anyways. Too big. Couldn't find a mounting bracket with it when I found it, so had to borrow one from one of my newer NuTone Prolines. Thankfully worked well enough to get a good video out of, these canopies are so shallow and really require a proper bracket to be used at all. I like what the Broan label did with these stubby-downrod-low-profile fans Quite versatile for low ceilings, without being a hugger. Not super a super powerful performer, but certainly decent, especially with the low profile aspect considered. Was actually really excited to find this one, I've half wanted something in this realm of Broan/Alaska for years, and I love the size and finish combo of this one.

Maybe 15-20 years ago I’d come across a half dozen or so of these at various times on various finishes. All used or tossed, thankfully with the mounting bracket.
The look was with the times when they were new, but the slightly unique aspects of the blade tips, ultra-low profile design without being a hugger, Casablanca-style switch operation, made them stand out.
Despite mint or trashed condition, they always ran new. Dead-silent, reliable, stand out fans.
I wouldn’t have use for one now, but if I accidentally ran across one, I’d have no choice but to save it and find a home for it.
Cool find, as usual.

Hey! I wanted to ask this. Do you have any ceiling fans in your house? Not in the basement but at the rest of the house upstairs. and that's a awesome fan!
