Microsoft Defender has one of the worst Offline Detection/False positive ratings for home users

According to the latest test by AV-Comparatives, for the second time this year, they confirm the high detection and protection rate of Microsoft Defender while online, but unfortunately the apps offline detection rate and false alarms failed to keep up with other mainstream antivirus products.

I ended by paid subscription to Malwarebytes Premium months ago because of issues. I'm still a supporter of Bitdefender Total Security and the Bitdefender VPN. It's the best (my opinion only), it hasn't failed me yet. Love your videos!

I started to use Microsoft Defender seven years ago at the beginning of Win 10. So for seven years my PC has never been infected. For free software doing a great job. I am very satisfied👌👍😊

Another thing that's worth pointing out is how bad trend micro did in the second graph. Important because Trend micro is what facebook uses!

That's believeable an hopeful it will improve over the next year. the online detecton an protection rates in the graph are pretty much on par with what we see under testing. I like to watch Computer slutions and The PC security channel(Leo of Emsisoft) do testings! When you look at panda and Trend micro's offline detecton rate Microsoft actually doesn't look so bad. The thing people should take note of in this chart is how in everything else microsoft defender is on par with the most lauded brands as far as protection!

I use Bitdefeder. Then again I don't visit suspicious sites. I do get the occasional over reaction to some tracking cookie.

So like 0.1% of users are affected because that's about the user share of people who use computers offline these days. LoL
