Donald Trump 'grazed by gunfire' during assassination attempt at U.S rally

Former U.S president Donald Trump has survived an assassination attempt at a U.S rally.

The politician appeared to be hit in the right ear as shots rang out as he began a speech in Pennsylvania.

The Reuters News Agency confirmed that Trump was 'grazed' by gunfire and that an audience member and the shooter were dead, with a third person also critically injured.

Trump's campaign said in a statement that he was "fine" after being whisked off the stage by the secret service after shots were fired.
