I went on a field trip when I was little and we made some cardboard tinfoil boxes that cooked hot dogs this way and I thought it was the coolest thing ever LOL. I went home and cooked hot dogs for a week on the back porch

Great concept, but I'm not sure about its consistency. I wouldn't know how long to keep stuff in there since it sounds like the temperature may change depending on the intensity of the sun. If there's some way to regulate the temperature then it would be a lot more useful. But I guess that's something for future iterations :)

One of the coolest theorised renewable cooking things I've seen was an orchard with fruit and nut trees and using the fruit to half eat and turn the other half into juice and pulp for making alcohol which makes the mash from the pulps into a material that when dried burns like charcoal and can be used to smoke food or cook it in general.

Having seen a lot of testimonials its a nice item to have but nearly everyone comments on temp issues, both value and consistenty. The thing is a giant glass sheet so it shatters very easily. And its a very small cook area.

I would love to see one of these but in a compact design. I’d love to take this thing on multi day camping/ hiking trips. Be able to make food without starting a fire.

Depending on the size of it, I’d be excited to try this on a kayak. Nothin like a nice meal without stopping.
