Black Myth Wukong - How to Get the Secret / True Ending Guide

To get the Secret Ending in Black Myth Wukong you need to do a few things, and then defeat the final boss. This is a quick, spoiler free guide so you can see the secret boss and secret ending for yourself. To summarise, you need to do the following:

Complete all "Secret" areas, these are as follows:
- Bishui Cave
Once above two are done, go to The Great Pagoda in The New West
Defeat Erlang and the Heavenly Kings
Defeat the Final Boss in Chapter 6 for a Secret Ending Cutscene

Timeline:

[0:00] Complete Treasure Hunter Side Quest
[1:21] Clear Chapter 1,2,3,5 Secret Areas
[1:48] Go to The Great Pagoda in The New West Zone
[4:14] Defeat Erlang, then complete the game

To clarify for people who are still confused to this present day. All you need to do to acquire the true ending is beat all chapter secret bosses. You don’t need to do ANY other side quest or quest to unlock it. Just beat all the chapter secret bosses. Plenty of videos directed to those bosses and how to get there. Once all 5 chapter secret bosses have been complete, go to the new west (hopefully you’ve unlocked the great pagoda), go to the great pagoda and interact with the child.
Boss names include ; Elder Jinchi, Fuban, Green capped martial artist, Duskveil, and the Bishui Golden Eyed beast. Hope that helps and clarifies all the comments I’ve seen not being very helpful and direct

Guys yall don’t need to reply the game from the start to get the other ending, just simply put continue journey and it will respawn you before the last mission so u can go do the secret mission

The secret area in chapter 3 is a room for your groud upgrades, weapons/armor, and the pills/medicine dog. It also has a guy who takes your seeds also. Go to the northern shore of the bitter lake and you’ll find this guy you’ll fight.

To anyone having trouble with the buddah showing up to the temple, he’s missing a quest and its the Giant Shingangdang quest where you have to collect eyes and fight the big rock. The little buddah showed up after I did all these quests plus the one I mentioned.

Some peeps once said that you needed to unlock all the relics [And I mean All of them. The three relic abilities for each relic. Meaning that you'd have to do ng+ for 3 times.] to obtain the true ending. But I'm here to clarify to the first game player throughers that you can obtain it on your first gameplay. I did just recently

You can get both endings if you complete the game and leave the secret area for last.
After beating the game go to this secret ending and beat erlang and the whole thing then go back to the rock at the end of the game and you should be able to fight the last boss again.
Just good luck cuz you have to beat the last fight twice but worth it for the unlocked middle relic

So, chapter 3 doesnt have a secret area until u finish chapter 1, 2, 4, 5 secret areas, and all chapter 6 side quest? i spent hours looking for chapter 3 secret area for no reason then.

Do you have to get the bad ending first to get the secret one or just go fresh to the final boss after getting the true ending locked in?

You can use the weavers needle on him, it's very effective against erlang is does not let him even attack😂

So i finished the game without erlang and then comeback for erlang. You can get both ending in the same gameplay.

I did the quest and every secret area but the little dude doesnt appear at the pagoda
