In Oregon snap goes by household income, not individual income. So I am disabled retired and my daughter works full-time(Minimum wage) who stays at my house to take care of me. They can buy her income with my income and it’s just over the threshold of not getting snap. That’s what they tell us. So I have to scrape together enough to buy food

Sure, there is infinite money from SNAP, that's why they press as much money out of giving you by applying an assets test which takes a good chunk of money out of the benefits for every dollar you have. Sometimes, it isn't even worth it to receive it. If NJ didn't apply a basic minimum of 95.00, I would be getting near 15 to 23 per month which basically really can't pay for more than a few condiments.
