Do you think the elven gods were spirits? Abominations? Or something else completely?

I really like the theory that all the Evanuris were "abominations"; I can see how a war might lead Generals down a path where they bargain for more power with helpful spirits only to have their nature Corrupt the Spirits' purposes over time. Narrativly it makes sense to me too; continuing/expanding on themes from DA2

Also really glad to see your video theories again 💜

It's incredible that some of the main plot reveals in Veilguard were so well foreshadowed already by Cole in DAI ten years ago.

I've always thought they were spirits who made bodies after we met Cole.
Cole also suggests something like that. However, I think that they do possess and consume or merge with other spirits to gain more power. And this practice is probably happening between the Evanuris.
I don't think they can die in the real sense like spirits and so the only way to truly end them is to merge or consume them. Which is why I think Ghilly is in kind of the 1/2 way point of one of those mergers. Why Solas consumes part of Mythal. That's my interpretation of it.

ngl im a sucker for fantasy worlds where it turns out it was the elves fault the whole time.

I think the elves are all like Elgarnan, children of the Earth and the Fade with Dwarves and Spirtis/Demons being only children of 1 of those.

I have long held the headcanon that elf-blooded DO have a trait baselines humans don't have; connection to the Fade. I think elves/humans/qunari all share the same type of tie to the Fade because they all derive it from elves.

I think we can probably piece together a lot from the symbolism in all of their animal stories.
Isn't it weird that the creature they find is a deer? They took it over to the fade? So is this the apotheosis of ghilly? Solas's mural specifically mentions a halla, a hawk a dragon and a wolf that "outwits them all". These animals pop up a lot in their stories and I think in every case they represent the god that has been associated with them.
I think this may add another context to Dirthamen knowing fear and deceit in relation to Ghilly and Falon din. Isn't it Ghilly who had one of Dirthamen's people take a forbidden form?

i think the elven gods were something closer to Flemeth. technically an abomination in the most basic and literal way but obviously much more. also, the excuse of "i saw it in the Fade" really runs thin by the end of the game, he obviously knows what he's talking about but cannot say it without revealing too much about himself

do far that we know elgalnan is sort of despotic tyrant and ghilannain is outright insane who plays with the blight like its her favorite toy... the other are still sort of unknown... i do hope the veilguard sheds some light on all the evanuris

I like the idea that the elves were originally spirits that took physical form. These elves became the upper class.

However, the elf slaves were originally dwarf spirits.
I think the Titans are a collection of dwarf spirits. When the evanuris put the titans to sleep. Then the evanuris created a ritual to siphon off dwarf spirits and put them into bodies they created.
I think the lyrium in the deep roads is souls made physical and part of the ritual to move spirits into those coffins in tresspasser.
The first thing the titan does in tresspasser when it is connected to valta is break the lyrium veins that lead up to the deep roads.
This is because ita not natural.

from the memory's of souless it is shown that spirits took physical form through the used of energized stone or leriam or titin's blood. the creations were perfect vessels for these spirits, but these vessels started a war. a war of existence and protection a war between the titans, and the newly born elves. but war brings out the best and worse in us all, each of these spirts were corrupted or moved away from their purpose or identity becoming there opposites. this gives rise to both the elves and dwarves (workers or cells of the titans) but not the humans, or the conary.

that is why the lore is so much fun its like a broken mirror with many images in each reflection. we know the dread wolf was one of main players in these multi game ever changing tale. but who were the others.

15:17 Why not Fen'Harel tho? His friend, as you said like two minutes back in the video, is a spirit of WISDOM turned into PRIDE. And if I'm not mistaken Solas was never a Pride God in the beginning. It was Evanuris who named him Fen'Harel, (The deceiving wolf) as a way to to literally bully him (lol)

Also, while he possesses great Wisdom like no one else, he is also the one who turns his knowledge about the no longer existing world, the Fade and The Veil (which he created himself) into Pride, thus thinking that HE is the one (pointing to the Dragon Age:Origin credit song here, btw) "who can recount what we've lost" and HE is the one "who will live on".

Actually, thinking about it now and looking at the lyrics of "I am the one" song I strongly believe its about Solas. Just check it, haha, but I don't think I'm the first to notice a pattern there.

And, just to end my therories here, when you end his quest freeing the Wisdom from Pride, he tells Inqui that he needs to think about what just happened. I guess there is something to it too.

my theory of the Dragon Age races are
The Human's ancestors were the Lesser elves the slaves and weak spirits.
The Elves' ancestors were the Mages and middle class of the elf's race.
The Qunari ancestors were the elf super soldiers for warrior-cast elves.
The Dwarves we know were bound to the Titans and the Titan's blood is Lyrium.

One thing that always makes me reflect on the matter is "magic". What was it in ancient times? They say all the Evanuris were powerful mages, but Andruil was known for her arrows, and I can't remember any mention of magic prowess from her. Maybe the Evanuris started as powerless, magicless beings that got their power from merging with spirits, and subsequently corrupted them with anger and greed?

It makes sense in a way, since magic comes from the Fade, and spirits come from the Fade too.

Hopefully it’s something good that wasn’t given away in the leaks.
